I havent been too busy crocheting lately. I took a little vow that I Was going to finish my UFOs before I started something new. That pretty much means weaving in ends. So, my hook has been busy tucking in my loose ends. Ill have to update my side bar tally later with all of the things I have since accomplished, but I need to go through them all first. I put eyes on my little munchkin mans that I have done. And Im starting a little granny square block and white blanket. (4 inch squares... 3 rows, Starting with White) I have pictures of some things and will get them up later!

EDIT: I just realized that I hadnt updated in a while and I did not get those pictures up of the things I donated... I will put them below this post :)

And I also relaized I hadnt updated since my kiddo was in the hospital.... He had to undergo 5 surgeries (they did them all together) in his little stay, but he came through it all very well. He came home on the 12th a brand new man. Unfortunately, he ended up right back in the hospital on the 22nd for an emergency shunt revision as his had malfunctioned. He did really well with that and came home the next day. He is doing great now!

Alas.. Here are those pictures. The gown was not finished in this picture, but was finished before I donated it. I added some sleeves.

The kiddo is still in the hospital.. Ive not gotten much of anything done. I have gathered a few things that I am going to donate to the NICU.. It is just hats. I think 6 of them. I am still working on the other gown and will donate it when I am finished. I only have to add the sleeves, but it seems I am slow in getting around to it.

I made my kiddo another little scarf. It looks adorable on him. Right now it is on his stuffed elephant at the hospital. I got some pics of him in it, Ill upload them later.. Maybe in a few days. Just whenever I have time!

I just wanted to say that I joined a 25 Things for Charity Blog. The plan is to crochet or donate 25 things to Charity over a 12 month period. I will be starting to donate mine in January, but will hopefully have more done by then.

And I am going to be in a Bridal Fair.. I want to make garters. If anybody has any patterns send `em my way!

I have been sloooow here lately. I will admit that :) My son is in the hospital right now. He had went for a check up and did not weigh enough to please them so he ended up in the hospital. If you want to know more about what he has been going through, his link to his website is on the right or you can click here. * I have not had a lot of time to get things done unless I am at the hospital all day by myself without my other kiddo... When he is there I have to chase him down... When I am at home Im always so tired and rushing to do other things.. But Ive managed to get a few rows of things done. I donated a gown to the NICU. They were thrilled. Im working on another one. And Ive done a few scarves. Im entering a Bridal Fair in January.. Might not do the winter one I had planned. I have to get supplies for the Bridal one. Im really excited. Im going to make garters.. Maybe more but Im not sure. Ive got to get busy tho!

Woohoo! Im so excited! I have pictures of my skirt... They are not the best pictures and my shirt does not match.... But they are pictures!!! You cant tell how it looks at all from the pics, so I might try and get some better pics later, but my battery on my cam was dying so I had to shoot them fast, plus I had little grubby hands hitting the tripod.. actually clanging on it with one of my Boyes hooks.... Silly boy. Anyway, here they are.. Enjoy!

I just wanted to updated... I havent done anything new that I know of, unless I did not mention that I finished my skirt. With the leftovers I made my son a scarf, but it is probably going to go to my sisters son instead, as mine will not wear it and there is no point in me keeping it if he wont. I havent gotten much of anything done. I did one square for a lady that is doing a comfortghan and thats about it ;) Im mainly weaving ends in. I have a TON of ends to weave in.. Anybody want to take over some? lol Ill get to crocheting some and update better later ;)

Ive still been a busy little bee. Ive finally finished that skirt for me that Ive been talking about forever! I used Lion Brand Homespun Edwardian for it. It turned out awesome. Im going to trim it in some Fun fur. I just need to get it. With the leftover yarn I made my little kiddo a scarf. He had fun playing with it, then tossed it on the floor just like everything else.

Ive finished a few more scarves, and did one for a Christmas present. Ive got more that need to be finished, and some that need to be started.

Ive got the eldest childs sweater almost done. The whole body for it is done, but I still need to do the sleeves. I ran out of yarn before I could get it done. So as soon as I get more Ill finish it.

I have a few more of those little munchkins done. I still need to put the eyes on them. I tried with super glue, but it just doesnt stick to yarn too well :) My little monster already ripped the eyes off of one. So Im going to borrow my mothers glue-gun and stick them on that way.

Everytime I check my mail I get so excited! Ive been receiving squares for a comfortghan for my Aunt. Her house burned down not too long ago and I requested some squares, and some lovely people have sent some lovely squares. I love opening the mail and finding the new ones. They are all so pretty! I cant wait to receive them all and finish the ghan and present it to her. Im really hoping it will make her day!

Ill have to take some pictures of all of the items and get them up!

Ive been sitting here for a while now with this update screen staring at me, but I was working on that darn double-coloured scarf. Im almost out of the yarn (Didnt I say that earlier?) My sister kept saying it was ugly. I guess she did not know that the little ends hanging off from where I have switched the colours a million times will not be there in the end... I finally had to explain to her and I guess she got it now :) She says in that case it will look cute. I want to hurry and finish this one and find some yarn for mine. Im not sure what colour I want mine, tho probably white. And I had seen this really cute granny square scarf that Im going to make also. It was black and white.

And last but not least.... I have a few pictures of some past things. They are clickable for a bigger view. Some of the ends are not wove in yet! I really drag that part out

Here are some of the squares that are for Preemie Protectors
One of the ombre ones is going to go in the middle, then purple is going to surround that, then ombre around that. I have just enough squares to do it and I can make a few more for another blanket.

Here are two purses. The first is the one that is going to be for my cousin. The second is inspired from a post on Crochetville.

Here is the skirt I finished for a toddler. My `man`nequin is modeling it of course. Little bugger kept running away from me when I was trying to take it off of him!

Here are the scarves I finished. The two-coloured scarf is actually going to be these two colours. It is two rows of the purple then one row pink.

This is the preemie gown that I tested for Raquel. My other `man`equin is modeling it. He has a bigger than normal head and shunt, so when I was putting it on him I stretched it a bit so as not to irritate him.

Well I remember some things that I did not update last night and I updated the things I did not get around to last night. I have added all of the things I have completed to the side. The things I was missing were:
I did not mention that I have completed 8 more squares for Preemie Protectors. I now have enough for a small blanket. I think it is going to turn out wonderful! I can not wait to get it finished. I just have to find a colour that will go with the squares then I can get working on stitching them all together.
Ive been working on the multi..errr..dual-coloured scarf tonight. Its funny how much I can get done when the little one is not around trying to steal everything away from me!
I found a TON of yarn that I have been missing for a while. Im so excited. There was some in it that I wanted to use for a hat for my wee one.
There is really not enough time in a day! I have so much I want to do and need to do and not enough time to do it! And I always seem to do the things that suddenly just come up instead of finishing the ones I had already started! Go figure!

Things have been a little bit busy around here lately. Ive completed two scarves (none of which are for me) and I have started on the third one. I have to change colours so much its frustrating! Its going to take a bit longer to do it. Ive become a bit bored with it right now :)

I tested a pattern for a lady. It turned out wonderful. It is a preemie gown, and wouldnt you know it, it fits my little one. Poor baby is never going to grow!

Ive done a little purse. I think it turned out quite cute. The handles look a bit dodgy... I think I stitched them on sideways, but when its layed flat you cant even tell lol

I posted a request a few days ago on Crochetville for squares for a comfortghan for my Aunt whose house burned down. I received two of them in the mail the other day. They are beautiful! I can not wait until I receieve the rest so I can put it together.

Im not sure if there is anything else to update or not. Ill have to see later, for now Its 1am and both boys are sleeping, as I should be, but wanted to do this really quick.

Apologies for not updating sooner! Some other things have gotten in the way. My wee one is still wee. Im trying to beef him up for thanksgiving and fit him into newborn clothes :)

Ive gotten some things accomplished. I have finished one strip on my couch! Woohoo! I layed a blanket I had done over the cushion and put the strip around it.. It looked great! Im so excited to finish it. Ive started on the other strip for the cushion. Its about 1/4 of the way done. I have not used 1 complete skein yet, so that is a good thing, but I only have 2 more in my stash right now. When those are gone it is going to be a while before I can do more with it! And that sucks! But Ill live.

I got the yarn for that poncho today. Its going to be the same as that last pink one that was two shades of pink. When I was getting it I was looking for some yarn that I wanted to do my skirt it, but nothing looked pleasing. I guess I will have to continue looking.

Ive been making these little munchkin/creature things for a craft fair. They are working up pretty quickly. I have 4 done and 1/2 of 2 others. I want to make a lot of them for little items. Im not sure what bigger items I want to do yet. But Ive got to get busy!!

Its been a few days since I have updated. I feel twenty times better than I had been feeling and actually got a bit of work done on some things. I have finished the poncho for my cousin. WOOHOO! That should have been no more left... But silly me took on another one! (The pay is double what I normally charge, so of course I said yes)

I want to do a sweater (or cardigan-type-ish-jacket-thingy) for each of my kiddos for this winter. For the eldest Im going to use the same blue-ish variegated I used for the latest poncho. Im not sure what Im going to do for the wee-one. Poor thing is still in preemie clothes and the latest preemie outfit we bought him just swallows him up! I might just use a light-blue for him but maybe make it newborn sized. Im pretty sure he wont outgrow newborn before this winter, I just dont want to make it so small that he outgrows it before then tho! And if I make it newborn and it is too big, then he can just have a bit of room in it!

I have started the skirt for me. Ok one of the skirts for me. The first one is going to be pink. I dont really like the tension Im getting with this hook, so I might frog it and start over! I want to do one in black also, but Im really dreading using black yarn. I might do a black-ish variegated for it tho *who knows*

Ive been working on my couch a bit more. You have to see the blog for the update on it.

That poncho I was desiging .... Around Row 2 I made a boo-boo so Im going to frog it! But it was probably going to end up really really long anyway, so Im going to make a few changes on it.

And last but not least I want to do a cardigan type ish thingy for my sister also! Kind of like one of those longer knee length jackets. One for me also! Im going to be a busy busy gal!

I finished that purse I have been working on. Overall it went fairly quickly. I will have pictures posted in a couple of days. Im going to have to write down the pattern also. I started on the poncho that goes with it. So far, so good. Im just trying to hurry up and finish it so I can get on with some other fun things!

I still want to do those socks and stockings and a scarf before it gets too cold outside, so I better hurry. The weather has been changing!

I have a pretty good strip started on my couch. And Im about to put some pictures of the couch up. It is just the couch, nothing crocheted, but you can see how ugly it is and my horrible sew job :) See: here

First of all, I now have this HUGE project going. I didnt realize I hadnt posted about it here yet, but Im sure most of you know I am crocheting my couch. Yes. Thats right. I am crocheting my couch! First plans were to crochet into the actual couch (of course using yarn sewed into the couch to stitch onto) but the fabric is REALLY hard, so instead I am making about a million little pieces to piece together for the couch. I am going to take off the old fabric and replace it with this new fabric. I am also going to put a liner under the crochet, just a plain white fabric. The crocheted couch part is going to be removable so it can be washable. (I am doing it in white.) See it progress here

Ive started work on the purse that is supposed to go with my cousins poncho. Its coming along rather nicely. It is in a Red Heart Super Saver Multicolour, some blue-ish colour. It looks real good. I cant believe Im about to say this, but Im actually looking forward to making the matching poncho! I cant wait to see how it is going to look together. Ill have to have the recipient model them for me. She loves modeling the other stuff and she wanted to model all of the other ponchos. Silly girl!

I made a few changes on that bikini today. I didnt make a whole bikini, but I made the bottom piece. I am going to pull out the last two rows on one of the pieces as it just looks dodgy. Ive already written up the pattern for it. Minus those two rows. The top is made all in one piece and the bottom is made in two pieces and sewed together at the crotch. It ties on the sides of the bottom piece. I guess you could say it is string bikini. It is a very easy pattern and works up quite fast. Im not sure how fast the lining process is, but Im sure it couldnt take too long! Id still like to get a few more pattern testers if anybody is interested! Email me!

I finally found a pattern for the socks that have been on my WIP list forever. That bar should be going up soon. The skirt might have to be put on hold until I get the poncho and purse done and the doggy hat designed. I always get side tracked with other things. Like right now I am working on a glove.. Yes only one. A friend wanted it, so I figured it couldnt be that hard to make one up real quick. I was right, not really hard, if only I could get to work on it a bit more! I have it about 75% done, I got lazy with it. Ugh!

And I must brag. I am quite the little multi-tasker. I EP for my kiddos and while doing so I have to keep an eye on the big one to make sure he doesnt terrorize the little one. This consits of a constant getting up, removing big son away from little sons head, and then going back to pumping routine. Well even in doing all of this I can manage to get two squares for the preemies done. Of course it is only 4 inch squares which are rather easy anyway, but I must say, to pump, watch two little ones and get two squares done in 20 minutes is pretty good. Now if only I could figure out how to feed the littlest one during all of this!

I didnt get a chance to update last night. I was a busy little girl. I delivered those ponchos and hats yesterday and got started on the poncho design I was talking about in a previous post

I also started on some more squares for the side-bar tally. I have completed 7 so far. So in case anybody was wondering, that tally is from yours truly... ME! I was trying to do something else with the yarn, but everything I did turned out ugly. The colour looks really pretty on the skein, but working up is a nightmare. A 4inch granny square was the only thing that looked half-way decent. I might have to buy another skein of it tho to make a little blanket out of nothing but this. It is Red Heart Super Saver Multicolour (Plum Pudding) Im hoping it will look really pretty joined with some light-ish pink. I bought another type of that yarn for my cousins poncho, but it was the blue shade. Im hoping it will turn out ok! If not those will go into squares also and I will stick with a solid colour.

So, as Im browsing posts on Crochetville or others blogs I see all of these comments and such about how nice of an item they have made. I come back to my blog or post and I see few comments. Does this upset me? No way! My items are no where near as fancy as the ones being commented on. Up until recently most of my designs have been more `Conservative` or simple stitches. Ive been working on more open things lately. (see the bikini for one)

Last night I had an idea for a poncho. It will be made in two different pieces and then sewed (or stitched) together. I wrote out a quick pattern. Im hoping to try it out this week sometime. Then that brought on another idea for another poncho. It will be somewhat like this one is at the top and how it is open on the side. Once it is completed I will post a picture. Both of these should be MUCH quicker to crochet than the other poncho was.

I have almost completed a mini version of the skirt I wanted to design. Once again, it is a very simple design. I tried it on my son and he loved it! (Hes a bit girly like that lol) There are still a few more finishing touches and then I will post a picture of it. I want to add a border to the bottom of it. Ill probably do something frilly for the mini version and something plain for the my-sized version. Im not going to add the border until I figure out what the heck I want to do. Any recommendations of good border sites out there?

And with a few adjustments on the skirt, I could have a matching purse! Again very simple :) Ill make a mini-one of those as well and post it. Ill probably just use some scrap-yarn for it since my stash is running low. I spent too much money on scrapbook stuff!

One last thing. My Charity group does not have many members still and I advertised a little. I have seen more people than I can count that said they wanted to help, but are doing nothing. Very disappointing to me. Im not sure what Im doing wrong. Ideas welcome So...Ive decided... If everybody that were to visit my blog would donate one 4inch square, then I could get a lot more of the packages done. So, who wants to be my first volunteer? I will keep a tally on the side of my blog of all of the squares that have been donated, and since it is custom to link to other blogs, I will also add links when you have donated a square. Kind of a win-win situation. And if anybody would like to donate little preemie hats I will keep a tally of those also. From this point on I will mark each of my squares and hats as well.

Doooooo you looooove me? Im in the mood.

I have come armed with pictures! Ra! I added another pic of one of the ponchos and a close up of the stitches. Its just like that last one, only different colours. (All of the ponchos were the same style only different colours) They all have matching hats also. I posted one of the hats for another poncho. It doesnt actually flare out like that. Its just stretchy to accomodate different sizes and I stretched it for the picture to show.

The bikini will have lining in it later. Im not sure of what fabric to put in it. Or what would look good in it. Im open to ideas here! I will also need some testers for the pattern soon.

Im not liking that hand-bag too much.... Especially the picture. It actually looks better in real life. I might make another one and make it prettier. Who knows tho.

Darn poncho ends! Im putting off weaving them in *lazy* I want to be done with the thing! Perhaps if I would weave the darn ends in then I would be done, but no, I come here instead and bitch *grin* Gotta love how the female mind works.

I made a little holding bag tonight. Its more like a little clutch, only longer and not as tall. I am going to put it into my crochet sack to hold all of my hooks and scissors. Ill write out a pattern later and post it and Ill get a picture of it later to add also. It was supposed to be the skirt, but I didnt like the way the first couple of rows were turning out so instead of frogging, I just kept on and figured something would come of it. It didnt turn out all that bad if I dont say so myself.

I had a few pictures on my computer of a poncho and some hats I completed a while ago. The pictures arent too great, but its a start! Here they are:

I can happily say that I am 100% complete with the hat and 99% complete with the LAST poncho! I only have to weave in the ends. Pictures will be coming soon of 3 ponchos, 3 hats and whatever else I have lying around. I was going to put them up with this post but the batteries are not charged! The thing got knocked out of the wall that charges them and they say there all night NOT CHARGING Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

I am now working on a little skirt that I was inspired to do from a post on Crochetville. It was an adult sized skirt, but Im going to start with a little one first. Ill post pictures of it when I am finished. (Heres to hoping the batteries will be charged by then)

Ill have to update my progress bars in a bit. Little little one is crying for some mamas milk!

Today has been a good day to crochet, if only I could have done more crocheting! My little one is back into the habit of wanting to be held. Plus I had some other things to do. I did manage to complete the fringe on the last poncho Yippee!!!! And I have started on the little hat that goes with it. After that I have one poncho left to fringe and I might not have enough yarn for it. Ack! Its dual coloured and I have an extra skein of one of the colours, but not the other.

Ill keep updated today with progress on that hat. Hopefully it will be finished in no time and I can line the bikinni thats been sitting here staring at me forever. I wanted to take pictures of it before it was lined, but that might not be possible Grr camera.

MID-AFTERNOON UPDATE:
I have completed about 20% of the little hat. I had to take a HUGE break and calm the wee one down. He has been a bit cranky today and just wants to be a mammas boy. But I did get a lot of the fringe for the poncho cut. Im not sure it is going to be enough. I want to try and finish the hat tonight before I work on adding the fringe to the poncho, but I might do some while the little one is napping. It is easier to pull one peice of yarn back from him than a lot of pieces.

And I guess I spoke too soon. He has woken up!

LATER-THAN-MID-AFTERNOON UPDATE:
Well when the wee one woke up he wasnt to bad. He fussed, I got him, held him and he slept a bit more on my lap whilst I got a few more rows of the hat done. Its about 90% done now. I only have to do the little border and add a pom-pom then I can send it on its way. I am so exited to finally be finishing all of this. Ive no idea what I want to start after all of these projects are done. If anybody has any ideas Im open to them!

I got some new batteries for my camera, so hopefully it will stay on long enough for me to get a few pics of some things and Ill post them. The batteries need to charge first, so it might be tomorrow, but they are coming!

Tomorrows post, unless I update again tonight, should have this darn hat and poncho 100%!!

Today has been pretty eventful. I finished the crochet part of the last poncho and have started on the fringe. That makes 1 hat to go, then my cousins poncho which will probably be a Chirstmas gift, so I have some time for that. I had a pattern on EBay. It sold and of course there were some errors in it Ugh! I hate when that happens. Luckily I noticed it in time and sent the winning bidder a corrected version. I still feel like a fool tho!

I am going to put some of those little WIP bars on my blog. It seems like the `in` thing to do, and I dont want to be left out! So if anything looks funny for a while, hang in there and it will fix!

I havent done one stitch of crocheting today. I have been running around all day long with my 7 year old cousin who spent the weekend. She is going home tomorrow and my mother is bringing my son back. He spent the weekend with her. I sure do miss that little guy. Im tingling all over waiting on him to come back :) Its just too quiet around here without him.

Before my cousin left (or leaves), she made sure to tell me what colour she wanted *her* poncho done in (She picked a blue-ish from Red Heart). She wants a purse to match it Yippee! I enjoy purses! As she was picking her yarn out I found a little doggy hat. It was too cute. I had to get it. I want to make a pattern for a doggy hat now. That will be next on my to-do list.

Last night I did get to finish a poncho. I still have to weave in the ends tho. That makes 1 hat and 1 poncho left to do... Then my cousins poncho. Woohoo! Im going to try and stay busy tomorrow.. I have a closet that needs to be cleaned out and the sad thing is Ive only lived here maybe 2 weeks! (Stuff just got shoved in it when moving) But luckily it is the closet my yarn is in so its a bit of motivation :)

Finally!! I finished one of my WIPS I had going. It was no biggy, just a little hat to go with a .. yes, you guessed it, poncho. That makes, 1 hat and 2 ponchos to go.

I have a few projects I want to do for this christmas. For one, I want to make my own stockings to hang. I have a few gifts I want to do and to top it all off, I need to design a few things and make some more squares/hats for a Charity group Ive started for preemies See Preemie Protectors It just doesnt seem like there is enough time to finish everything.

I figured I should write a little more about me since I did not in my previous post. My little one (ok my biggest child, but still a baby) was not very happy! I had to rush and entertain him. Oh the joys of being a mother!!!

So, here I am, 20 years old, single mother recently moved into a new town in Arkansas with my sister and her husband and my two little ones. The little ones are Kaia aged 14 months old and spoiled beyond belief! And Aloshua aged 4 months and not far behind brother on his spoiling, tho he is still able to be put down for brief periods of time without crying :)

I am a stay-at-home mother right now, looking to go back into the work force as soon as I can find some affordable daycare! *rolling eyes* Those things are expensive!

Im into reading romance novels *dreamy eyes*, scrapbooking when I dont have a little terror ripping my pages, gymnastics, shopping, crocheting (designing and charity work) and movies.

I am a total Mommy-Mom and I love spending time with my sons. I dont have a life of my own as I give my all to them and their care but I would not have it any other way. They both had a rough start out at life coming into the world early, but that just makes them extra special and me proud to say I am the mother of two wonderful preemies!

Since this is supposed to be a crochet blog I guess I should mention some bits about crochet. I never thought Id get tired of working on certain pieces, but Ive changed my mind on that. I am tired of ponchos! Ive been doing an awful lot here lately for people and they are starting to bore me. Come on people! Give me some other things to work with :) (Not that I dont mind ponchos, but a change would be nice)

I designed a little bikini the other night. It turned out fairly well. I still need to put some lining in it and make it a bit less `racy` but overall I give it 3 hooks (of course 5 being absolutely the best)

Im working on putting together a website to sell my creations and patterns. Things are coming along smoothly, yet slowly with that. I need to get a few more pictures of my items and the majority of the site will be finished.

I have the worst digital camera ever. That and my batteries never seem to last very long. As soon as I get some good batteries I will post some pictures of said bikini. (This was to be read as, perhaps within the next year Ill get some decent batteries and a picture taken)

And alas I must go... I have a few more rows of a poncho calling my name!

Welcome to my blog. New and improved..Err.. Wait only new!

As a forewarning, this is a crochet blog. If you are not into that type of stuff then this might not be for you!

Can we post pictures here? I guess Ill have to find out later. Ill post some of my designs and some of the things I made from patterns. Be warned: My `manequinn` is my 14 month old son. But he looks lovely in purple and pink :)

A little more about me: I am a 20 year old single mother of 2 boys. Ages 14 months and 4 months. I live in Arkansas.

Besdies crochet I like scrapbooking, reading, computers and lots of other stuff!
